In 2018, President Xi proposed to explore the development of free trade ports with Chinese characteristics. In June 2020, the CPC Central Committee and The State Council issued the Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port; 11 key parks of Hainan Free Trade Port held their opening ceremonies simultaneously; In 2021, Shangdao settled in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, one of the 11 key parks, and became the first value-added enterprise of imported fermented meat products processing in Hainan Free Trade Port.
